Original Wall Art

Thought you'd get a kick out of this one! I had sticks and wire and saw on HGTV "Redesign" a wall sculpture. So I made my own. We had been looking for a metal something but sticks will work for now! This is in the hall above the stairway if you don't recognize the background. Posted by Picasa

Thought you'd get a kick out of my original art for the top of the stairs in the hall.

This is my "studio".
I have been working on my art projects here. Looks different without any furniture.

My plantings outdoors. The big ones are elephant ears. They're kind of cool!

The picnic table after repainting. We put it on the paver patio. When it needs painting again it will go to the curb! Then I'll get something different for the patio. I used some of the leftover sand in the little buckets for candle holders.

My table is on the deck in the lawn now. The scale is much better. Get a load of the color of the Lake. It's BAD this year. Posted by Picasa

Here you go - you wanted pix of projects.

First pic is just pretty. It's Millenium Park near Grant Park in Chicago. That was the day I was downtown with Melissa and Susan.

OK - Now we have my faux finished(in the wrong color) frony doors. Jerry agreed yesterday that new doors are an option for next spring.

Then we have the organization project in the basement storage area. This is the furnace room. I have stuff almost ready to go back in. The shelves are clean and the stuff is sorted.

I know this photo doesn't look like stuff is ready to go back in the storage by the furnace, but it's better than it was.

This was a 4x8 sheet of MDF. Jerry doubled it up around the edges for rigidity. There are cord holes toward the back of the desk top. He radiused the edges and cord holes. Then it is installed on wall cleats back and side. The file cabinet is a leg and we had a leftover leg from the old desk to reinforce the big curved part on the left. If you decide to use MDF and paint it, call Jer for tips. MDF will soak up paint like cardboard and there are tricks. You can see we have both printers, scanner, tower, monitor and organizer on the desk top - in addition to my leather wrapped boxes. Plenty of room. But only for 1 of us. You guys will have to come up with your own design for the 2 of you. Posted by Picasa
